In a PSLRTA, you are not voting for a collective agreement. You are voting on which union is better situated to represent you in bargaining. With CUPE, we compare all the collective agreements to find the best language, best working conditions, and best wages. We harmonize everyone up to the highest rate of pay for their classification and build a new wage grid from there.
Below are the full lists of classifications and their highest and lowest rates for both ONA and CUPE. The math is clear: CUPE members earn more overall and pay less.

Clarifications:
Annual dues amounts shown are based on the highest and lowest wages from either collective agreement for the same position.
ONA Dues Rates:
Straight time hourly wage:
$31.00 or less =$62.80/mth (818.40/yr), $31.01 – $37.49 = 78.20/mth (938.40/yr), $37.50 or more = 132.69/mth (1592.28/yr)
CUPE dues calculations are based on a 35 hour work week with 52 weeks per year.
For classifications that do not currently exist in the CUPE collective agreement, the min and max ONA rates were used to calculate annual dues.
Current rates were used for ONA, 2026 rate does not start until May 2026
Building Maintenance (ONA) = Facilities Maintenance (CUPE)
